Mech - Shinku Kim Fanart

A project I did in my spare time, concept by the amazing Shinku Kim. I really like the strange shape of this mech (or robot).

The side objective was to designs weapons to compliment the design of the mechs, the SMG gun was designed for it light weight frame and high speed combat. The spear was because of the image I have like an angel descent from the sky, and for ramming maneuver. It can also retract into a sword form for close range combat.

My first time trying UDIM to increase texture resolution, I run into a bit of a snag for this since Marmoset doesn't exactly support UDIM baking, so I have to do some work around.

I also want to try add thruster trails to the engine. Marmoset doesn't support particle effects, and I dont know how to use flipbooks, so geo is what I decide to go with. At first I intend to use a cylinder but it look flat and didn't have the look i was going for. I figure out a way when I was looking on youtube, the method was for blender shading nodes, but I managed to apply it with subtance painter.

Texture resolution:
The mech itself is 2k across the board
The gun use 1k
The spear itself is 2k.
